With more than 25 years of clinical experience to her name, Kimberlie Mozes currently finds success as a senior clinical consultant across several companies, a role through which she writes plans and documents required for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services; writes models of care for special needs plans; and assumes interim quality director roles. She has extended this expertise to KHI Consulting, ATTAC Consulting Group, and Rebellis Group since 2019. She also co-founded Credit Butterfly LLC in 2023, which offers software solutions tailored for credit repair organizations and mortgage professionals.
Previously, she was active as a community marketing liaison at Encompass Health Corporation, a practice performance manager of quality field operations at UnitedHealth Group, and a clinical health care services administrator for the state of Arizona’s Division of Developmental Disabilities. In Arizona, she noticed several areas that needed improvement, specifically regarding the processes and operations involved in caring for individuals with developmental disabilities; her contributions were essential in redesigning the state’s care management program and helped make it one of the first states to do so with their Medicaid plans.
In the latter position, Ms. Mozes helped merge the division with a physical and behavioral health contract, which made Arizona one of the first states to do so with their Medicaid plans. Even upon leaving, she continued assisting the state by providing consultation services to develop their utilization and medical management plans. Prior to these roles, she served as an interim patient advocate at Banner University Medical Center and a critical care registered nurse at the University of Arizona Medical Center, University of California San Diego, and Banner Health—after devoting 16 years as a nurse, a back injury forced her to switch to more administrative roles, allowing her to impact the health care system significantly.
Wielding immense expertise in her field, Ms. Mozes earned an Associate of Science in Nursing from De Anza College in 1994 and later returned to higher education, accruing three more degrees at Western Governors University. She attained a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing in 2014, a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Administration in 2017, and a Master of Science in Nursing in 2019. She followed up these accomplishments by becoming a certified family nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center, a Nurse Practitioner through the Arizona State Board of Nursing, and a CPHQ Certification through the National Association for Healthcare Quality. Additionally, she’s currently pursuing a Doctor of Health Administration in quality analytics from Capella University.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Mozes sees herself assisting organizations to implement all the quality initiatives, regardless of what industry she’s working in. Her goal is to complete her doctorate within the next year and help reinvigorate the credit industry for consumers.
